Maybe you’ve seen ‘Instant Book’ on vacation rental platform AirBnb. Wouldn’t it be wonderfully convenient if that existed for meeting rooms and private office bookings? Oh wait…
On Upflex, you can book a desk anywhere in the world, on demand, instantly, in just a couple clicks. But up until now, meeting rooms and private offices required checking in with the workspace to double-check availability, and then sending you an email when the booking was confirmed. But sometimes, we just don’t want to wait.
If you’re tired of waiting for the booking confirmation of your urgent meeting room or private office request, or you’ve ever wished for the convenience of booking your workspaces immediately during the weekend, you’ll love this Upflex feature update.
Here’s how to book instantly on Upflex, no need to wait around for a confirmation email:
- Use the new filter option to filter out spaces that can be booked immediately, i.e. do not need a confirmation.
- Look for the new “Instant Booking” tag on a workspace’s listing page to easily spot spaces where you can book instantly.
*Note: Instant booking update will not affect Unify and Hub spaces.

Booking is quicker and easier
The new instant booking tag and filter allows Upflex users to easily spot and book spaces that do not require a confirmation. Find this tag and filter in the following areas of your mobile app/web portals.
Look for the tag on Space and Location listings in Upflex’s app, and in our business, explore and location portals, including:

- Recommended Spaces For You
- List view
- Map view
An even more advanced ‘Advanced Search’
A new section by the name “Booking Options“ has been added to the advance search in the business portal and app with ‘Instant Booking’ as one of the two options. Note: The ‘Booked by Team’ filter has also being grouped under this new section.
To use the instant booking filter, toggle it on to surface all the spaces that can be booked instantly. (Since all desks are instantly bookable, by default, the toggle will be switched on for desks.) Toggle it off to view every meeting room and private office — not just those that are bookable instantly.
Updates to the Search page
On the search page, we’ve added a new filter by the name “Booking Options.” Look for ‘Instant Booking’ among the two options there. Note: The ‘Booked by Team’ filter has also being grouped under this new section.
To use the instant booking filter in search, tick the checkbox, and you’ll limit search results so that you’re only searching for spaces that can be booked instantly. (Since all desks are instantly bookable, by default, the toggle will be switched on for desks.) Untick the checkbox to open up search results to include every meeting room and private office — not just those that are bookable instantly.
