Tribes was founded by Eduard Schaepman and Jasper Bekkering who knew cubicles weren’t the future of work. Launching from the past of his own nomadic family, Schaepman dove into nomadic behavior, soaking up knowledge about — and inspiration from — indigenous nomadic tribes, hoping to share that wisdom and beauty with the world.
He and Bekkering brought this ideology and aesthetic together with all the facets of being a great place to work, now connecting Business Nomads — who go where the work takes them and stay as long as they need in order to get it done — with inspiring, productive work environments in 19 locations across Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.
